You Have the Canon Rebel camera so you have the software that came with it.
One of the 4 programs for this camera will have an editing function. where you can resize an image. ( digital Photo Professional) EOS Utility, Picture style editor and ZoomBrowser EX If your camera is set up to take only .jpg images then most will be a approximately 4-6 meg ion size and this is to large for an email. If you set the camera to take an image and save as a .RAW file then you are looking at 21meg+ Firstly check the settings on the camera and change to .jpg if you are just a happy snapper if you are a professional photographer then you will want to keep saving as a .raw image. Lastly find a graphics program like Corel./ Photo Impact or Adobe. and resize yout image by 50% This will take a 5 meg file size down to about 800kb.. which will go through most email accounts and still be a good clear image. |

Bro Raved or you could use Microsoft Office Picture manager to open your file
then you can use the Edit Pictures Option there is a compress picture option there you can change the files size according to your requirement |

Is the pic you want to send a .raw file or a .jpg file. If its .raw then open in a photo editing program as mentioned already and do a SAVE AS and select .jpg. Then you can resize the image.
I dont know how your camera is set up. I do know the camera as I have a Canon 450D ( Australia) Everywhere else in the world calls it a Rebel So if you can get into your settings check and change to .jpg for a smaller image. The quality of a jpeg is still very good. Professional photographers tend to snap away with .raw as they can be edited differently without losing any detail when saved. One pic in .raw will be 15-20 meg in size same pic as a .jpg will be 4-6 meg or smaller Resized this will decrease to less than 1 meg.. |

Download it from the website [Only registered users can see links. ] - Launch the program - Open the file you downloaded from you Camera. - select File -> Batch Rename/Conversion - Highlight the file and click on ADD. - Click on "Set Advanced options" . Check "Resize" and set "Long side" between 800 and 1100. - check "preserve aspect" and "use resample" - click "OK". set destination folder and "Output format" to "jpg - jpeg format" - click on options, set quality to 85 and check save as progressive. - OK. verify input files are listed. - now click on "Start. once finished without any errors, you should find the processed file in the destination directory. - the finished files each should not be more than 110k. if so, then reduce the "Long side" factor and perform the process again. all the best.
