Default Calibre - Can I remove older versions?

Calibre has another updated software (version 0.7.52). I have uploaded this in my computer.

What do I do with the older versions of Calibre? (0.7.24, 0.7.43, etc) that are still in my pc? Can I safely delete them without affecting the current version?

Thanks!

Hi
make sure you close calibre before installing. And I like to keep at least the last few updates just in case, Just place them in a folder. Handy because sometimes there are glitzes with a newer version,
So lets say you have a problem you could in theory use an earlier version,
As a rule I always make a backup cop of my calibre library. That way you always install a fresh copy of calibre if you hav problems and sync you old calibre library

If you install the new version of calibre after having closed it, you will overwrite your current version. So you do not have different versions of calibre in your laptop.
You can keep if you want the different install executables just in case you want to revert to an older version.

The older versions are automatically removed/updfates when installing the new version

I still have my old versions because when I download, I never take the option to run the update. I always save it to my pc first. If you automatically run it, you might run the chance that someone put something bad in the executable.

You can safely delete your old versions. Like others have recommended above, I would keep one or two prior versions just in case.

if installation of latest version did not complain it needs the old version for uninstalling the previous version you can safely delete the downloaded calibre versions including the latest unless you want to uninstall the calibre current version

Thanks for all your replies.

So if I decide to revert to the older version of Calibre instead, all I need is to run the older version? Just run and install in my PC and it will replace the current installed version?

I just installed a newer Calibre version and all it did was overwrite the previous version that I had already while still keeping all of the books in my library.
