Is there any benefit of choosing AMD FX Cpu over Intel Core i7 extreme Cpu ?? I'm also thinking of building a new rig

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. They work by installing the hardware, then install the software, then connect a coax cable and/or antenna to them and you watch/record tv. Basically the only reason I want one is to use it as a dvr. I'd rather spend $80-100 than pay XX per month to rent a dvr from the cable company

Tweaks made, firmware updated and it's never given me an issue. But when I first got it there was bad firmware loaded. Caused random bsod. Was a major problem with the SF controllers.

Yea, this was what I was trying to figure out. My TV Tuner never worked, and I sort of gave up on it.

I was given an MSI TV tuner that worked ok before. But if I had to choose I'd buy Hauppage brand tuners. Best rated tuner cards on the market right now.
