Just need to vent about my nook!
Ok I own a Nook 1st addition and my battery is going out. I got on B&N website and was looking for a couple of accessory's for my Nook. I kept coming up empty so I got the costumer service number and gave them a call. I told the chick on the phone that my battery was going out and I needed a new case and back that both on mine were getting worn out. And I couldn't find anything online. The lady sends me to tech support of all places! I couldn't even think of what the poor guy was suppose to do to helps me? So the guy gets on the phone and I tell him all over again what was going on and what I needed. Well he comes back and says yes ma'am I see here on our website that we don't have anything for that nook in stock. I said yes sir I knew that. I was just wanting to buy a battery or at least tell me when you will be getting more so I can order it then. So is there anyway you can send me to someone in like sales or something. He comes back and says I could ma'am but we are discontinuing the Nook 1st addition so we will not be getting anything for those ,but I can sell you a brand new Nook 1st addition for only 35 bucks! I was like ok so you are telling me you don't have a battery I can buy from you ,but you do have a brand new Nook that you could sell me that has a brand new battery in it? he says yes ma'am. I then ask the man could he just sell me the battery out of it because there is nothing wrong with the nook I have? he got very offended that I would asked such a question and kept saying he was not in sells. I then stated sir you keep saying you are not in sells but you just told me that you could sell me a new Nook for 35 bucks! It made not a lick of sense but then the poor guy finally sent me to someone else that told me I can up grade to the Nook simple touch for only fifty bucks and after that conversation I really don't know if it is worth the bother.
